Rituals

The Sisterhood meets every Full Moon to honor and study a different Goddess. All the Full Moon celebrations involve some sort of goddess-related activity - be it a ritual in Her honor, a meditation, a magickal craft workshop or even a trance-journey.

To keep it fair, we take lots to see who facilitates the Full Moon extravaganzas. We randomly select a Goddess to honor drawn from slips of paper in our "alabaster jar".

The Full Moon celebration is open to the Full Moon Council, the Dedicants and Priestesses affiliated with the Sisterhood and other like-minded women who have been OK'd by the Dark Moon Council.

Our Temple attendance policy is as follows: Our Full Moons are open to the Council, our Students and Priestesses affiliated with the Sisterhood and other like-minded women. However, attendance by any new person is by invitation of the Dark Moon Council only. An invitation can be obtained by petitioning the Dark Moon Council at least one month prior to an event. If you are hosting the event, the same policy applies. Exceptions are at the discretion of the Dark Moon Council. We ask that one does not answer, in the affirmative, any requests to attend a moon or function without first contacting the Dark Moon Council first..

We are focused on the Women’s Mysteries, exclusively. Although (the) God definitely enters into our discussions, our workings are undeniably Goddess-oriented, eclectic and without boundaries...from Hindu to Egyptian to Buddhist to Greek to Santera/Yoruban, etc. We don’t abandon the Judeo/Christian pantheon, either, and in fact very much enjoy reclaiming that which we feel was ours from the beginning. However, in an effort to create balance, our Sabbats are sometimes open to men. We honor, too, certain Feasts and High Holidays that we consider special to us, as a women's Temple like the Feast Day of Artemis and our Founding Day. Suffice it to say that The Sisterhood essentially chooses to focus its attention on the flower rather than the seed and works diligently to create a space that allows women to explore their core selves through study and ritual.

If you would like to attend an Open Full Moon Ritual please contact our Scribe, Saille Honor.
